A RUSTIC RETREAT AWAITS.

We can’t wait to welcome you to Charit Creek Lodge.

Charit Creek is a rustic and historic wilderness lodge located in a valley in the heart of Big South Fork National River and Recreation Area. The lodge is accessible only by hiking, biking or horseback. CCL offers a unique way to experience the beauty and serenity of the park. Choose to hike in via the shortest path of 1.3 miles or spend the day exploring the trails of Big South Fork. While reasonably accessible, it is both peacefully isolated and remote, providing a perfect escape from the modern world.

The lodge offers both private and group accommodations in cabins that are among some of the oldest in the National Park System. CCL is completely off-grid. Each cabin is rustic, yet well-outfitted with a wood or propane stove and solar-powered lanterns, as well as comfy beds (with linens). After a day exploring the Big South Fork, return to the lodge and take a hot shower in the modern restroom facilities. Then, enjoy a delicious home-cooked family-style dinner before you sit by a campfire fire and enjoy the night sky. We welcome you to relax, unwind, and spend time connecting with the people around you.

The good stuff.

The lodge offers the perfect place to relax and reconnect. Play games in the dining room by the wood-burning stove or toss horseshoes on the lawn. Hike to the Twin Arches or Slave Falls. Splash in Station Camp creek or just sit on the porch and enjoy a cold beverage and a book. Whatever you choose, we are here to help make your stay as comfortable and stress-free as possible. Time is simply slower “down on Station.” Check out 3 of our favorite hikes here.
